Where we met:
Jeremy and I both served in the England Birmingham Mission. We never served by each other and were on the opposite sides of the mission. the first time we ever met was in January 2013. My companion was asked to sing in a concert they were holding at the Wylde Green chapel.
Jeremy served in the office and I served as a Sister training leader at the end of our missions. We found out that we were going home at the same time. Because he came out 6 months before me. Because of a miscommunication we were on different planes home.
Getting home from the mission:
We started emailing after we arrived home just asking how we were doing being home, how weird it was. Asking questions and getting to know each other. We found out that we were both thinking about going to BYU-Idaho. He was already registered for classes and I was in the process of applying. I found out that I got accepted into school into the Fall semester a week before school started. We both found out that we were up at school and the apartment that I found a week before school started was across the street from his apartment.
Our first date:
Jeremy asked me to go for Ice-cream for a study break. It was really fun and not awkward at all. We went to Dairy Queen for Ice-cream, watched YouTube videos. It was a short but fun date. Then Jeremy asked to see me the next day. He helped me with my homework the next night then from that time on we saw each other everyday.
The Proposal:
Jeremy and I love to take walks at night. We loved walking up to the Rexburg Temple. There is a walking path behind the temple that we would walk laps around before going back to our apartments. One night around October we were up at the temple and we decided to sit on a bench. As we looked up at the bench we both decided that we wanted to get married. A few months later Jeremy took me to that bench and had candles leading me to that exact bench. It is where we decided to get married. I couldn't believe that he remembered that night. It was a very special night and we started counting down the days.
